SCOPE OF WORK: Asbestos containing insulation was delaminating from the interior of a boiler stack, falling and restricting flow of boiler waste gases. The client contracted with Luse for the removal of the damaged and delaminating asbestos insulation. Our team cleaned out the breaching to remove restrictions, allowing another contractor to safely install a chimney liner.
SUCCESS: To safely and efficiently remove the material, we designed and implemented a removal strategy using swing stages and materials hoists. Of several contractors contacted by the client, only Luse was able to propose an innovative solution to execute this challenging work.
